How to prevent starter motor premature failure?

Starter motors are designed for short‑duration cranking operation,yet many units fail long before expected service life on passenger cars,trucks and agricultural equipment.Premature failure mostly comes from electrical overload,poor connections,contamination,improper operation and related component defects.Systematic preventive maintenance and good operating habits can greatly extend starter service life and avoid unexpected breakdown.
